Privacy Policy for Dhyanam

Dhyanam ("the app," "we," "us") is a daily Hindu spiritual companion app. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and who it's shared with.

Data we collect

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data to anyone.
We do not show third-party ads.
We do not access your contacts, photos, or files.
Mantra audio, favorites, journal entries, and daily practice history stay on your device unless you explicitly sign in and opt into Family Circle sharing.

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Cloud Functions, App Check) — Google's Privacy Policy

Sentry — crash/error reporting — Sentry's Privacy Policy
Google Gemini — powers the AI Spiritual Guide feature; only receives the text of your AI Guide question, never your account identity, name, or email — Google's Privacy Policy

Children's privacy

Dhyanam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Your choices

You can use nearly all of the app (mantra library, jap mala, meditation timer, panchāṅg) without ever signing in or granting any permission.
You can decline location access — the Panchāṅg card falls back to a default location.
You can delete your account and associated Family Circle data by contacting us below.
Uninstalling the app deletes all on-device data (journal, favorites, streaks) immediately.
